Barre Sinister and Barre Noir are live! After months of modelling, rigging, texturing and tweaking, this ballet-meets-fetish inspired clothing and accessories set is finally ready for your characters to pirouette, pose, or power-strut across your renders.

Barre Sinister combines the classic lines of formal ballet wear with a darker, more dramatic aesthetic: think performance elegance with a touch of villainous flair. Whether your character is a poised principal dancer, a haunted vision on a grand stage, or simply enjoys a dramatic outfit with an out of the ordinary silhouette, there’s something in this set for them.

Barre Noir Texture Expansion

Barre Noir adds six Iray texture sets:

  • Abandon: all black patent leather and shiny lycra
  • Chaos: a twist on the traditional harlequin
  • Corrosion: black, pinstripes, and a more trad goth feel
  • Decay: desaturated purples in a worn, faded look
  • Smoke: Charcoal and ombre brocades
  • Surge: not your typical ballet pink

This pack also includes layered extras to customize the elements:

glitter overlays, sheer FX for the tutu in five styles, a suite of partial metal presets for the other elements, and several options for tutu transparency

Behind the barre:

This set draws on my own affinity for the gothic aesthetic. This time, I wanted to give it an unexpected twist, combining the beloved ethereal ballerina with the punchy, almost punk energy of the alternative club scene.
